Overview

The Education HR and People Management course is designed to support school leaders, managers, and education professionals in effectively managing people, performance, and wellbeing within education settings.

Managing staff in education requires a strong understanding of employment law, safeguarding responsibilities, professional conduct, performance management, equality and inclusion, and staff wellbeing. This course provides practical guidance on handling people management challenges confidently, fairly, and in line with UK education and employment frameworks.

Participants will explore real-world scenarios such as recruitment and onboarding, absence management, capability and disciplinary processes, staff development, and difficult conversations. The course supports leaders in building positive workplace cultures, managing risk, and ensuring compliance while maintaining a people-centred approach.
