Overview

The Regulating Student AI Use: Safeguarding, Fairness & Future Readiness course is designed to support educators, leaders, and institutions in developing clear, fair, and safeguarding-led approaches to student use of artificial intelligence.

As AI tools become increasingly accessible to learners, education providers face growing challenges around academic integrity, equity, safeguarding, data protection, and responsible use. This course provides practical guidance on how to regulate student AI use in a way that protects learners, maintains standards, and prepares students for future study and employment.

Participants will explore real-world scenarios involving student use of AI for coursework, revision, assessment, and wellbeing support, while developing clear boundaries between acceptable and unacceptable use. 

The course supports institutions in creating AI-aware policies, student guidance frameworks, and proportionate responses that balance innovation with fairness and compliance.
